Welcome to the Nebraska Community College Statewide Courses site.
The six Nebraska Community College Districts are a unique group in that since 1995 they have worked together to establish a common set of courses that all of the colleges offer. Part of those courses were a part of the Nebraska Transfer Initiative, but additional courses in a variety of areas have been added over the years. This website is to provide you with the information about the original and resigned Initiative Document, the courses, the review process, along with information and connections to each of the six community colleges in Nebraska.
Transfer Initiative Document
In 1995 and then resigned an reapproved in 2013 a document that shows the initiative of a statewide effort of higher education to identify a common core of statewide courses.
